As the site admin, I, Revanchist, would like to formally thank all those who were a part of making the original ‘Kotor iOS Mods' happen.
Though the site is primarily run only by an individual, much of the knowledge found here has come from the community. Kotor Mobile Mods, as an organization, is very community focused. Thats why, though we are mobile focused, you'll also see some things here and there across the site that apply to modding the Mac App Store version of Kotor I/II (its also a bit neglected when it comes to mods). PC's get most of the love in the Kotor modding scene, and not at all without reason, but here at Kotor Mobile Mods, the goal is to level the playing field a bit when it comes to modding between the various Kotor platforms. Formerly know, and originally founded as ‘Kotor iOS Mods' on J(Shortly after the release of Kotor for iOS), the mission from the beginning has been to turn this place into the go-to site for anyone looking to mod Kotor on mobile platforms. When I first started installing mods I made a quick copy of all the files in the vanilla game so I didn't have to worry too much if something clashed, because I could delete it and replace it with the vanilla file.Welcome to Kotor Mobile Mods. Some modders use the overide folder to do everything, from my understanding anything in the overide folder takes priority load up over the vanilla files, that is plausibly the easiest way - however pay close attention to the instructions provided by modders, their instructions denote everything you must do.īe warned that some modders create mods to replace vanilla files altogether, and there are so many mods out there that some may clash, it is important that you make sure there is no clashing as it may screw the game up and if they are mods that replace vanilla files, the only way to get those vanilla files back is t do a reinstall. Some modders do make executables, and in such a case you just have to select the location in which kotor and the mod will automatically extract to the correct places.
Here you will find all the folders that contain the games data, most mods are in zipped files so extract them and then drag them to the folder they are supposed to be in. You first must locate SWKotOR - In a windows 8 computer you go to OS(C) open program foiles (X86) open steam open the folder steam apps open common and then open KotOR. Most mods come with a txt file which tells you where to put various pieces of mods.
